Using an existing typeface as a framing device for the textures of the playground

Typeface Type design, CollaborationIvydale Texture Typeface was my way of trying to capture the tactility of the playground in a usable typeface. I worked in collaboration with children under seven to scan the areas of the playground they thought were the most interesting. I used a portable scanner so we could get into the hard to reach places and capture the close up details.
