THE CUBE aims to bring outstanding cinema from across the nation and the globe to people from all over the country. Each film is chosen to reveal something or someone to the audience, whether that is a director or an outstanding young talent. The cinema moves into empty buildings on high streets across the UK, bringing life back to the high street culture in that area. It travels the country sharing new films and talent with people, while making use of the ever growing number of empty shops.

THE CUBE’s identity is centred around shining a spotlight onto different aspects of films. Directorial debut or emerging stars, THE CUBE will be highlighting them within the spotlight. By using the beam as a framing device for the film stills and posters, an air of intrigue draws people to visit the travelling cinema.
